Lib ya won't live ya

Recall what I said regarding US and allies decision to attack Libya immediately after what has become my most popular post on top left:

That how US and allies were pushed into it despite themselves, how they are making mistake upon mistake, how they are making laughing stock of themselves in the world, how they are deceiving themselves into thinking that rebels are making advances, that Libya may prove even more entangling than Japan, that Libyan problem may continue to linger because of one reason or the other, and may at the end prove even more catastrophic than Japan's nuclear problem.

Seems the latest developments are continuing to prove what I said. Instead of battling Gadhafi, rebels and Nato are battling each other even though yet mostly verbally.

To confound the problem is the danger of US government's shut down. I have learnt that Obama has vetoed the funding of troops. If so can anybody imagine what effect this will have on the morale of troops out to fight Gadhafi? And on rebels morale as well as thinking?

Even now it may be wise to leave the Libyans to themselves. Rebels themselves may take over Gadhafi in due course when the second round of Middle East upheavel develops further. It is also possible that anybody from Gadhafi's inner circle may do more damage than even rebels in terms of forcing him leave Libya.

Remain in touch.
